|Mark Lane – Executive Managing Director
Mr. Lane is the co-founder of Valor Law Group which has sourced over 1200 qualified plaintiffs for mass tort claims related to Resperdal, Actos, Talc and a range of other drugs and products. The current portfolio and ongoing acquisitions of plaintiffs represent over $7,000,000 of investor capital under management. Additionally he has more than 30 years of experience in banking, finance, real-estate development and asset management. He has extensive underwriting experience in managing risk in property and debt portfolios, having served for almost 30 years as an executive in the banking and homebuilding industries. Mr. Lane has worked at the executive level for a multi-billion dollar bank and has served as a Regional Vice President for a nationally-ranked (top 20) homebuilder. Mr. Lane’s asset management experience includes managing portfolios ranging in size from $500 million to over $45 billion for various regional and national lending institutions. He has worked as an asset manager for the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation and Resolution Trust Corporation. He has personally supervised transactions involving more than $600 million in debt instruments related to various types of real estate, including land, residential properties and commercial income-producing properties.
Gary Hamilton – Managing Director
Gary Hamilton has been a senior executive within the financial services industry and in the capital markets for over thirty years in Denver, Colorado. He is a co-founder of Sterling Law Holdings and assisted in the structure and development of Valor Law, the predecessor company to Sterling. Additionally he has been involved with the founding and development of a number of International and US private companies. Mr. Hamilton worked for the investment-banking firm of W.G. Nielsen & Co. before accepting the position of Managing Director of Sterling Law Holdings.
Previously, Mr. Hamilton was a Senior Vice President with Merrill Lynch in both a financial advisor and management capacity. He also worked with PaineWebber (Senior Vice President and Branch Manager), Mutual of Omaha’s Kirkpatrick Pettis (Senior Vice President and Branch Manager), and The Stanford Group (Executive Vice President and Regional Manager).
WorldWide Papa’s, Plc. was co-founded by Mr. Hamilton in the early 2000’s to purchase the master franchise rights for Papa John’s Pizza in St. Petersburg, Russia and the Leningrad Region. The company financed the development and managed the brand throughout St. Petersburg.
With the investment-banking firm of W.G. Nielsen & Co., he worked with middle market private companies and ownership in the sale or recapitalization of a business. Transactions could include the sourcing of senior, junior and mezzanine debt as well as minority and majority equity buyers.
Mr. Hamilton has been a Director with Sun Strategies International, a Singapore based Investment Company, and is currently a Director, Treasurer and finance committee chair of The Colorado Fund for People with Disabilities (CFPD). He is a graduate of The University of Colorado Leeds School of Business, and past president of the University’s Denver Buff Club. Member of Cherry Hills Community Church.
